WELCOME to the NEW COVID EDITION (hopefully a once-off) of Oscars 100 Hut 2 Hut.

This page is where you will find all the information regarding the new event schedule, race statistics, logistics and info for the revised edition for 2021, noting that this is for those participating in the 100km edition (the 50km Archie will remain the same as planned, see all details for that event HERE).

DOWNLOAD all the new information via the HANDBOOK download links above or below.

NOTE that you will need to upload the 53km loop course to your Avenza App, to replace the original 100km file. The file link to copy and paste into your app is:

The main thing to get your head around:

  • Assuming the lockdown ends at midnight Wednesday 17th, we intend to operate a revised course based on the 53km regular Archies course.
  • There will be no options to run the traditional 100km event in one day.
  • For 100km participants (solo and multiday), you will run 2 x 53km loops, one on Friday and one on Saturday (effectively making the Hut2Hut100 a multiday event).
  • Those running the 100km (now 106km) MUST run 53km on Friday, rest overnight and then run 53km on Saturday.
  • If you are a 106km runner who wants to drop to only 53km, you MUST run on the Saturday and notify us of the change ASAP.
  • The 53km course is The Archie course. On Friday you will run the course in reverse (yes, you will come UP 4 Mile). On Saturday you will run the course in the traditional direction.
  • You will have from 5am – 9.30pm (16.5 hours) each day to finish the loop. This is 90 minutes longer than The Archie competitors.
  • Checkpoint cut off times are advised in the HANDBOOK
  • All competitors will participate as solo runners. You are not required to stay together as a team but you are more than welcome too.

Mandatory gear - Hut2Hut competitors' gear list is now the same as The Archie. Good news is you won’t have to carry a sleeping bag or mat. Nor will team runners need to bring a tent to be transported. Check your mandatory gear off via the new handbook.

Accommodation - as there are now no layover points we are working to see what is still available on the mountain. Alternatively, there is free camping at Mirimbah (links below for campsites) at the base of the mountain (20-25min drive) and plenty of accommodation options in Mansfield (35-40 minutes). We are looking into what we can do with shuttle buses to help get people up and down the mountain so you can enjoy the Saturday night, socially distanced, festivities. We will keep you updated.
